Engine Mechanical problem

Hi guys,
I'm an old time gear head so I'm not really familar with all the new stuff out, BUT I was told there is some kind of junk you can run through the engine that can temp. fix a bad head gasket.
Does anyone know of any such animal?
It supposed to do what Bars Leak did for radiators.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.
I want to run this motor for a bit to find out whats messed up head or gasket?
