Engine Mechanical problem
1995 Toyota 4Runner 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My sons 1995 Toyota 4Runner won't start after sitting for 3 months in the cold. It was fine when he parked it. We have replaced the battery and starter relay switch, but nothing. Doesn't even click. All the lights, horn, etc. work. What should I check next?

Hello Gaynellinn Welcome to 2carpros. Your engine does not crank and headlights do not dim.I believe an open in the starting system could be the problem. Check the condition of the cables and wiring to the starter and ,making sure all connections are clean and tight .Check main fuse link and the AM2 fuse link to the ignition switch. If both fuse links are good, check the switch. (See diagram) Check the starter relay ground.(see diagram) If the ground is good follow the black/white wire from the relay to the neutral safety switch and check it. I'm sending this diagram to your email.
