Bought a slightly wrecked 4 runner, did the body work, had it aligned, bout ready to put it on the road, its been driven from place to place in middle GA., SOMEtimes, when you start into traffic, or go to pull it upto somewhere, it can't get into first!! It had been sitting for about a year when I bought it!! Would servicing help, or burn up the clutches???

Hi pdupre3,

Check if the ATF level is correct. Trans throttle pressure cable adjustment might help.

If above does not help, rebuild/replacement is the next option.
