It looks like there is oil leaking out of the Oil filter but it's a new filter and it's properly tightened. Also I just returned from a week away and noticed that there has been a lot of oil dropped from what looks to be the rear trans axle. Is this a common problem is it going to cost a lot to fix?

Hi there, wash around the filter and run the engine check for any leaking at the filter seal, as for the rear end check the diff pinion oil seal, if this is leaking it is not a huge job to replace.
