1990 Toyota 4Runner ignition ignitor testing

I have the truck above and was driving it and it just died, no spark at all. tested the ohms on the pick up coil,and the coil, everything good. Theres power to coil and ignitor too. How do I test the ignitor? the cost is 250 bucks to replace. Please help.

Hi Shrum410,

There are no test that I know of for ignitors but you should test the coil first.

The coil is more likely to give way than the ignitor unit.
