on the crankshaft pulley bolt or nut does it have reverse threads or normal threads?

I also have A Toyota about the same year and yes it has normal treads ( righty tighy lefty loosey ) I had a problem with the crankshaft bolt .. If I remember right you need a 17mm or 19mm socket .. what I did was put it in gear and I had someone in the truck holding the brakes . I took a five pound hammer and put a socket and long ratchet on there and tapped it loose . Hope this helps !
