can I tow a 2000# gross weight, 150# hitch weight with my 2000 tacoma, 2.4 liter, auto transmission with bumper hitch with a 2" ball? The bumper states 150# hitch weight with 3500 max. towing capacity. I am concerned about brakes, auto transmission. I am not looking to set any speed records. Looking to drive 200 miles max trips. This is a standard base truck.

It is within specification so I don't see any problem there but always remember when towing, braking and steering characteristics changes and the higher the speed the more dangerous it is going to be when making hard brakings or taking sharp corners.
