Touch screen freezing and restarting?

The touch screen turns on then restarts about 20 seconds later. The touch screen works for about 2 seconds then freezes. Then it will restart again.

Yep, these touch screen modules go out due to heat etc., but to be sure let's do a CAN scan which is easy to do, you can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.
