Hello,
Some are torque to yield so be ready for that. here is a video that shows how to use a torque wrench correctly and the engine torque specs and directions below:

For the Nissan E16 engine, the big end (connecting rod) bearing cap bolt torque specifications are as follows:
Torque setting: 24-29 ft-lbs (32-39 Nm)
Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
