Good morning.

The specs are below for your rod bearings Let me know if you need any other specs.

Tightening Specifications
Connecting Rod Cap Bolts. 27 Nm (20 ft. Lbs.) PLUS 90 degree turn

Dimensional Specifications
Bearing Clearance. 0.010 - 0.048 mm (0.0004 - 0.0019 in.)
Side Clearance. 0.10 - 0.35 mm (0.004 - 0.0138 in.)
Piston Pin Clearance. 0.015 - 0.028 mm (0.0006 - 0.0011 in.)
Bearing Bore Out of Round. 0.004 mm (0.0002 in.)
Total Weight (Less Bearing). 612 grams (21.588 ounces)

Snug up each cap bolt and then start with the one on the driver's side.

What was the bearing crush when you installed it? Did you use plastic gauge to measure the clearance?

Was the crank damaged? Does it have any grooves or scores?

Yes, I checked all that and the crane and everything look good. It sounds like it is in the upper part of the motor this time.

The upper end is a totally different noise than a rod.

To confirm it is a rod bearing, short down the cylinders one at a time. If the noise gets less intensive or goes away it is a rod bearing.
