My partner was driving the car when all of a sudden a bit of white smoke was coming from the bonnet and water leakage near the passenger side of the car we pushed it out the way and waited a few hours. When we went to try it again it started up like normal sounded normal no smoke or water, but when we put it into gear it wouldn't move. It's strange it sounds fine and stays on but won't move.

Hi,

Was it water leaking from the A/C condensation or was it coolant leaking? Have you checked to make sure the transmission fluid is full? Did the check engine light come on and stay on when the engine was running or now?

Let me know.

It was leaking near where you put the coolant in and we haven't checked that yet. It's a disaster we only bought it a few days ago.

Hi,

The idea that there was a leak really doesn't seem to correlate with the transmission issue. Was the coolant low?

Have you checked for diagnostic trouble codes? Have you confirmed the trans fluid is clean and full?

Let me know.
