The original size tires that came on the truck were based on the package the vehicle came with. I have attached two pictures below indicating all the different sizes it could have come with based on model. I will say this. The sizes range from a 225/ 75 16 to a 265/ 75 16. With that in mind, I would say yes. However, when you change from a 75 series to an 80 series, the tire will be slightly narrower and taller, so it could affect how the vehicle handles. Remember, the first three-digit number in the tire size refers to the width. For instance, a 225/75 R16 tire, the width is 225 millimeters. The 75 means that the height is equal to 75% of the tire's width. The last number (16) is the rim diameter. So, when you compare a 235 / 80 / 16 to a 235 / 75 / 16 you will find the 80 series tire will be slightly taller and not as wide.
If you go on line and look up a tire size comparison and punch in both the tire size on the vehicle now and compare it to the new size, it will show exactly where the differences are.
