Tire shaking and clunk noise

I was driving on the freeway today from work and my tire or steering wheel started to shake. I pulled over thinking I had a flat tire(no flat tire) I exited a mile later and drove the street home, as I was driving I could feel every bump from small to large. When I final made it home and pulling into a parking spot I heard a loud clunking noise from the the same tire.
