My van makes a real bad sound on the tires when I turn right or left, what can this be and is it expensive to fix?

What kind of noise is it? Could be a lot of things. Does vehicle speed make a diifernece in noise? Does depressing the brakes make the noise louder or softer? Also is it light cornering or hard turns?
