Tire sensor bad after rotation

Took car to Toyota dealer for oil change. Tire sensor was broken when I picked up the car (sensor warning light was on). Dealer says no way they caused it when they rotated the tires. How can I get them to take responsibility as when I dropped the car off with them it was fine? Repair will cost $400.00.

try resetting it first. often times that is what happens tires are rotated and out of sync so it sends a message. we do not reset procedure for that car if you have a manual it will tell you and if you look online as well. also tire stores do. TPS replacement much cheaper than a dealer does.

What would happen if a standard valve was installed in the tps system,anyone

if a standard valve was fitted you would get a fault code, but first get a sensor re set done, this may be all it needs and also check that the tire pressures are correct.
