First i was having starting issues randomly and would have to try a few times switching it to the on position.
Now my jeep starts but wont shift out of park unless i use the shift lock lever.
Brought it to a mechanic and he ran diagnostics and concluded it was a bad tipm. He quoted me 1500.
I’m wondering can I install this myself? Do i need it flashed and what part should i buy i keep seeing multiple parts with different part numbers?

Unless you order it preprogrammed no. It's easy to install BUT must be programmed to vehicle in order to operate.
