Good afternoon,

Are you replacing the chain or just setting the timing chain?

I am changing both gears, slides and all. I just want to be sure the first time it will be right, never had to work on motor before. The crankshaft is out of it to polish and put back. If I had thought I would have line it all up but did not think!

Did you attempt to start it yet?

If you did and it is out of time, you may have already done valve damage. It is that sensitive.
