Fitted timing belt using locking pins. In both cam and crank.
Car bad starting. When started slow revving and barking through inlet, like timing is out.

You will have to re check valve timing do not assume that it is correct make sure, and do a leak down test to see if a valve is open, it may be a binding valve stem.

Attached you will find the procedure for the crank pulley on a 2.0L. This should be what you need. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens. Thanks

We do not have adiagram for this vehicle i'm afraid !! your local library or autoparts store should be able to supply a manual for the vehicle with step by step instructions for the repair !

I was wondering how often the belt has to be changed as I am thinking of buying a fiesta for my first car and want to make sure the belt is good before if I do buy it

It depends on the engine but for most of the Fiesta engines it is either 100,000 or 150,000 miles.
I would change it or make sure it has been changed recently.
