Camshaft timing marks

there are no timing marks, you must lock down cams with special tool or one like it prior to replacing timing chain. See pictures.

Looking for a diagram on engine timing marks can marks is w9 wl.

the sprockets have to come off and use a flat tool to align cams with slots in cam then lock them down and put sprockets on as well as chain. See pictures.

I changed my timing belt and i think i did it right but i have a lifter type sound now since i changed it it is not all the time but once i have made speed and i tap on the gas as i am driving their is a liter noise is because the belt is new

Changing the timing belt if done correctly will not induce any valve noise, i would re check the timing marks and if all is ok, i would think that you have a faulty valve lash adjuster, try an engine flush as this sometime helps with sticky lash adjusters.

Ford, 2002, 3.0 V6, how do you figure when is TDC to install new Camshaft Synchronizer.

this can be difficult because there is no timing indicator on the front of the engine like the good old days. Here is what the book shows.

You would need to remove the valve cover on the #1 cylinder side and make sure the valves are not open then remove the spark plug on #1 and watch it with a flashlight.
