Car turns on with key but will not start?

I turn it on I hear the fuel pump engaged, then I try to start, and I get humming. The original issue it had a year ago was the timing. I put it in the shop and the guy gave up and sent it back to me. It was idling at 30 MPH and when I hit the brake it would stall out, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you upload a short video of the engine cranking over so I can see if the engine is in good shape, I can tell from that. Also, we need to check for ignition spark this guide can help you:
