Timing belt check?

I am trying to see if my timing belt skipped a tooth. I have the top cover off and can see the timing marks but I’m not sure how to check if it skipped. Any help would be great thanks.

To check this, you must have the engine on Top Dead Center (TDC) on the compression stroke for the #1 cylinder. Here are the marks so you can check it out. If you are off on the crankshaft, you can turn it 360 degrees and the marks should line up. Let us know if you need anything else.

Okay, so it is at the top of the compression stroke on cylinder 1 and it is about 4 teeth off. Just to make sure cylinder 1 is closest to the timing belt, correct?
