I would like to replace the whole timing kit, but I have not found one that matches up with my original ones off the block, O'Reilly set me cloyoes kit and the guide's were too long and the holes did not line up or the shape of the guides. Please, please help in pointing me in the right direction. Some say it could be from a 2000 ls that would fit my car, but I do not know.

About all I can tell you is it sounds like they sold you the wrong kit. Let them do some research on how that happened.

Here is the instructions for doing that, the best place to get the parts is from the dealer. Try to mark the cams before you take it apart.

Verify that the crankshaft keyway is in the nine o'clock position.
Fig 10: Verifying Crankshaft Keyway Is In 9 O'Clock Position

CAUTION: The crankshaft keyway must remain in the nine o'clock position until the cams are located, or damage to the valves may occur.
Rotate the LH and RH intake and exhaust camshafts to locate them in their neutral positions.

Rotate the crankshaft clockwise to position the keyway to the 11 o'clock position and remove the crankshaft damper bolt and washer.
Fig 12: Rotating Crankshaft Keyway to 11 O'Clock Position

Install the LH timing chain guide.
Position the guide to the engine.
Install the shorter (gold color) bolt into the upper hole.
Install the longer bolt (black color) into the lower hole.

NOTE: Be sure to position the tensioner so that the tensioner piston is fully engaged in the tensioner arm.
Install the LH tensioner arm, tensioner and bolts.

Remove the wire or paper clip from the tensioner.

Rotate the crankshaft clockwise and position the keyway between the two o'clock and three o'clock positions for RH timing chain installation.

Install the RH chain guide and bolts.
