Will not start possible timing chain issue

Car won't start a neighbor looked at it and said timing chain.. What do I do to check and repair?

Good morning,

The one way to verify is by a compression test. If the chain is worn, you will have low compression.

As far as the repair, the fan, belts, timing cover, crank pulley all have to be removed to access the timing chain. You will need a puller to remove the harmonic balancer as well.

Not many pictures around for the timing chain procedure. I will keep looking for you.
