I've got everything off the car, but I cannot get the timing belt back on. It's as if it's too small but I checked with the auto part store, and they confirmed it's the correct belt. Is there a trick on how to get the timing belt back on?

Hi,

Is the belt tensioner being held away using a pull pin if new or an Allen wrench if reusing the original one? Also, when you install the new belt, are you starting at the crankshaft and working in a counterclockwise direction to install it?

As far as installing it, I attached the directions below from my manual. Take a look through them and let me know if you possibly missed something.

I will watch for your reply.

Take care and have a good Thanksgiving.

Joe
