Changed timing belt car won't start. Checked all fuses all wires that I touched and it's in time perfectly, checked four times. When I turn the key, it does nothing; the radio turns off for a second like its pulling power to try and start but makes no noise and doesn't turn over. Valves are fine.

Hi,

If I understand correctly, the starter isn't engaging. Is that correct? If it is, first take a look at this link. It covers the general diagnostics related to a starter problem.

I attached the starting circuit schematic below. I highlighted two fuses to check. Make sure they are good and have power to and from them.

Here is a link you may find helpful:

If that is good, will it start in any other gear? It should in either park or neutral, but something may have lost adjustment. Also, make sure the gear position switch is working and connected.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
