I was told my timing belt needed to be replaced, is the reason why it will not start? When I look under my car the timing belt has not snap, but they said it is bad. When I looked at it I saw; a195m-f650a-vw 8n. I was wondering why I have Volkswagen timing belts is that the problem?

I am not sure why you have a Volkswagen timing belt. However, the timing belt should be replaced with tensioners at 105,000 miles maximum. I suggest you scan for codes and try resetting the security system if no manual look online for your car on how to do it.
Here is a great article on scanning for codes for you to check out;
