Hi,

The 3.2L is an interference engine which means there may have been internal damage such as bent valves. However, I believe this vehicle has a 3.5L which is not an interference engine and should be fine. Can you please confirm that for me?

By chance, have you reinstalled the belt to see if it will run? If you have, record it cranking and upload it for me to hear. I can usually tell if there is a compression issue.

Or here is a link that explains how to test compression. If there are bent valves, you will likely have no compression in one or more of the cylinders. If you don't have a tester, most parts will lend you one.

Let me know. Also, please confirm the engine size.

Take care,

Joe
