I got a truck, and it needed the timing kit installed so I did the installation two times already and still get code that the intake cam on bank 1 is over retarded. My question is, is it possible that the timing kit that came with the truck is wrong? Like it's for a 5.4 2v..or a 4.6 ?

Hi,

What all was replaced when the work was done? As far as the one bank being off, there could be an issue with the phaser, or the timing was incorrect when you reinstalled everything. See pic 1 for marks.

What code are you getting?

Let me know.

Joe
