Ticking coming from where intake is?

I just did my purge valve spark plug and injectors, I am still getting a fast-ticking noise like lifters. Is that common? The car runs fine, no check engine light just want to make sure it doesn't leave me stranded I commute 60 miles a day.

Hello,

The purge valve usually emits a load ticking noise when it is actuated by the ECM.
This is normal.

Just unplug the valve while it is making the ticking noise, the noise should stop.
