I bought this vehicle last week and now has developed a tapping noise coming from up front it doesn't stop but gets faster as I speed up what are my possible issues.

might be a lifter problem, bad camshaft, cam phaser etc. this would need to be physically looked at.

I thought lifters based on research If you had to rough estimate a job of that sort what do you think it will cost??

check locally prices vary all over as it may not be lifters it could be any of the things I've listed as well as timing chain tensioners.....
