Throw-out bearing?

i got the transmission and engine coupled after installing a clutch kit, the throw-out bearing was in the proper position, after wrestling with the slave cylinder the fork end is too close to the slave rod end. i don't know if the bearing came off it seems like it did. Is there any way to fix it or tell if it is off for sure without pulling the transmission off the motor again.

Hi,

The only way to see it is to remove the transmission. When you installed the release bearing, was it in front of or behind the bearing? Once that transmission is installed, it really can't come off.

If you want to try to see if the bearing could be positioned wrong, try moving the release fork back and forth. There should be some play and then you should feel the release bearing press on the pressure plate.

Let me know. Also, I attached a pic below showing how the fork and release bearing should be seated. Let me know if that is how you had it.
