I was going from park to drive and got a little ahead of myself, before it had time to change from park to drive I hit the gas and It felt like I threw something all the way out of the bottom or rear end. I didnt allow enough time for it to get all the way into drive before hitting gas. What did I do to this vehicle. It won't go furthur that 2 ft without a terrible jolting and pulling from the bottom/rear. It drives in reverse no problem but forward it feel like I will completely destroy something. please help me figure out what I screwed up?!!

could you just throw a few ideas, maybe the drive shaft, rear end drive axel, or universal joint?

well if it were driveshaft/ujoint rear axle it wouldn't move either way, maybe two clutches are applying that shouldn't be in trans or a planetary gear set is messed up . that is why I always send people to a trans guy with those type of problems.

that sounds like a possiblity. I have little real knowledge on these things just assuming. I am so afraid of the amount of money I would have to spend with it being a Lincoln. Do you think its going to be a number $$$

prices vary but if the trans has to be rebult you can go to most trans shops and get it done for around $1500-1800. but it may not be the trans but something not as expensive. you need to find out what it is first.
