Did an intake GDI spray cleaner through throttle bottle and now idle seems off or lack of acceleration. Also, how do I reset check engine light?

Hi,

If the check engine light is on, have you retrieved diagnostic trouble codes to identify why it's on? Often times a rough idle is the result of a vacuum leak. Make sure no hoses were left disconnected or damaged.

Here is a link that explains how to locate and repair a leak:

Make sure the air intake tube between the airbox and throttle body is secure and none of the sensors are disconnected on it.

As far as resetting the check engine light, you will need a scan tool. However, if we identify what is causing it to be on and repair it, eventually it will go out.

Here is a link that explains in detail how to reset a check engine light:

Before you reset it, scan the computer for codes. If you don't have a scanner, most parts stores will do it for you free of charge. If you already know what codes are set, let me know what they are.

Let me know what I can do to help.

Take care,

Joe
