Is it possible to replace just the sensor itself and not the whole throttle body? I know it is the sensor because car won't rev over 3,000 rpm's and it was running for 5 mph only. To fix it I have to tighten the connector from the TPS in order for my car to run normal again.

Good evening,

What code was set for the TPS? When it is bad, it will not limit RPM. In most cases when it fails, the throttle will not respond at all and the engine will just idle

The TPS is part of the throttle body and not available by itself. I attached a picture for you.

That could be from other things such as low fuel pressure or a clogged cat converter.
