The third brake light which is situated on the boot stopped working. I replaced it with an new one but it still did not work. I brought the part back to my local Peugeot dealership and their electrician confirmed that the light was working perfect. They said it could be a switch, but I would have to leave the car in with them to confirm. Unfortunately I cannot afford to do this. Can you help?

Maybe in the loom that runs down the boot hinge, you can get the wires breaking here, this is often seen on many cars that have a boot mounted eye level brake light, check this first.

I only got to check this problem out on my car today and discovered that it was the loom which caused the brake light on the boot of my not to work. I really appreciate the advice I got from this website. I am sure I can fix it myself and save me the exspense of a mechanic. Thanks
