I was changing the thermostat, the smaller hose, not the one from the radiator. The smaller hose goes into an aluminum type tube, in this time where it curves around the engine is cracked and or ruptured. What is this time called, and where does it lead to?

Good afternoon,

Do you mean this hose I have pictured?

If it is incorrect, can you post a picture of the line for me to see?

1. Drain cooling system.
2. Remove upper and lower intake manifold. Refer to Engine for procedures.
3. With lower intake manifold turned upside down on bench, remove the tube retaining bolt.
4. Remove tube from manifold and discard O-ring.

INSTALLATION
1. Clean heater tube sealing surfaces.
2. Install new O-ring on heater tube.
3. Install heater tube on manifold
4. Install retaining bolts and tighten to 12 Nm (105 inch lbs.).
5. Install lower and upper intake manifolds.
6. Refill cooling system.
