Thermostat bolt size needed

I was changing my thermostat and I dropped a housing bolt and it bounced into a different dimension. What is the bolt size so I can replace it. The guys at O'reilly's acted like they have never heard of someone losing one.

These are not always the same size so the best thing to do is remove the other bolt and use that to compare the replacement. Otherwise, these bolts are readily available so I am not sure what the issue was with the parts store.
