My temperature gauge is only reading a little over 100 degrees. Could it be possible for my temperature gauge is stuck open? Now I get a code saying something about my ERG valve or something else that I cannot think of at the moment. Thanks guys.

The very fist thing to look at is your coolant level, if the sending unit cannot sense water, it will not read accurately.

If the radiator seems really cool/barely warm to the touch after enough time has passed for it to reach operating temperature (same goes for the heater hoses), it very well could be that your thermostat is stuck open.

If it has been forever and a day since it has been changed, at minimum, you can justify doing it as scheduled maintenance.

I looked it up, it should need a 195 degree thermostat.

If your code continues, return here with the exact code number(s) example: P0123.
