Hi,

Here are the directions for reprogramming the new key without a scan tool. Take a look through it and let me know if it is what you have already done. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by elecring. I attached a pic below. Do you see the part that was replaced?

______________________________________

KEY PROGRAMMING - NEW KEY (Without Diagnostic Tool)

NOTE: Before starting this procedure, make sure the key(s) your want to program have the correct mechanical cut.

1. Insert the nonprogrammed key in the ignition and turn to RUN.

2. THEFT indicator proves out after 2 seconds and then flashes rapidly.

3. After 15 minutes of flashing, the THEFT indicator will stop flashing.

4. Within 5 minutes after the THEFT indicator has stopped flashing, turn the ignition key to OFF and back to RUN.

5. THEFT indicator proves out after 2 seconds and then flashes rapidly.

6. After 15 minutes of flashing, the THEFT indicator will stop flashing.

7. Within 4 minutes after the THEFT indicator has stopped flashing, turn the ignition key to OFF and back to RUN.

8. After 15 minutes of flashing the THEFT indicator will stop flashing.

9. All originally programmed keys are now erased, and the key in the ignition is now programmed.

10. Additional keys may be programmed using the Key Programming - Spare Key Procedure.

Let me know if that helps.

Hi,

Take a look at the attached list of possible causes.

The passive vehicle protection system will be activated and will disable the vehicle from starting if any of the following actions occur:
1. Damaged encoded key.
2. Unprogrammed key.
3. Non-encoded key (key has no electronics).
4. Wiring concern.
S. Transceiver concern.
6. Control module concern.
7. Module Communications Network concern.

Because there are several different possible issues, we really need to scan the computer for codes. The new transceiver could be bad, not recognized, or simply not communicating with the PCM.

Here is a link that shows how it's done:

Let me know if that is something you can do or have done.
