Water pump

The water / cooling system is playing up. it is fine for a few journeys, but then gives a low water level warning. When the cap is taken off to replenish the water, lots of air pressure is released and the then the water level returns back to the proper level on its own.

Have you tried replacing the cap?

I have seen cars go a little lower then go back up, but not enough to run the low coolant light on. Are you sure it is up to the full line to start with?
