The top of oil dip stick, the plastic partbroke off in my hand. How much

The plastic part attached to the dipstick broke out in my hand. The second time is happened. BTW. With this same car, get. Geez never had this problem before in my almost 30 years of driving!

I don't think it's pushed in to. Engine, how much do you think will cost to fix

I would recommend getting a new one from a dealer. If it just the dipstick itself, it shouldn't be more than 20 dollars.

If it is only removing and replacing a dipstick, you can do it yourself in under a minute. You do mean the plastic top at the end of the dipstick, correct?

Yes it is the plastic pay at to that broke off. Leaving the dipstick still in. Im not very mechanical. Barely know how to add oil lol
