Tensioner pulley has no way of getting a tool on it

On most tensioners you use a 1/2 in drive ratchet but this one only has a bolt and a socket nor a wrench will get on it. Is there something I am missing?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

There is a 15mm bolt in the center of the tensioner pulley that you use to remove tension. Here are the directions. The two attached pictures correlate with the directions.


Remove
1. Coolant reservoir.
2. Rotate the tensioner (clockwise) with a 15 mm wrench and slide belt from generator pulley. Release tensioner and remove belt.

Install

1. Route belt, rotate the tensioner clockwise and slide belt onto generator pulley.
- Tensioner indicator mark, it should be within the nominal range.
