The traction control system is an add-on to the anti-lock brake system so that light will turn on when the ABS light turns on. The lights mean the computer turned those systems off. The anti-lock brake computer detected a problem, set a diagnostic fault code, and turned the light on to tell you. You'll need to find a mechanic with a scanner that can access that computer to see what the fault code is. Most auto parts stores will read codes for you for free, but they usually can only access Engine Computers.
There's hundreds of potential fault codes. Some have very minor causes and some are pretty expensive. The red Brake warning light can have three reasons to turn on. The most common is low brake fluid level in the reservoir. If it's low, just add a little clean, new fluid. Never fill the reservoir to the top.
