The hose that leads to nowhere?

I discovered a hose that was clearly attached to something but I can't back track to anything. It's been saturated in a black oily substance and is underneath the casing to my coolent and wipe fluid cases. And I know that it doesn't belong to either of those things

Could you get a picture of it and post in please? The description sort of sounds like the overflow from the coolant reservoir but seeing it would make it easier to ID.
