The heater makes the gurgling sounds but does put out heat. There aren't any leaks and I did replace the heater core. Should I be concerned or are there any suggestions about this? I have also replaced the thermostat if that matters. When I bought the car I don't recall the sounds like I do now. Thank you so much. Randall.

It sounds as if you have an air lock in the heater core, pull the hoses off and see which is the inlet (run the engine and see which hose expels coolant) connect this hose to the heater core place a hose in the header tank and wait till coolant flows from the heater out let. This should bleed most of the air from the heater core, re fit the heater hoses and run to temp, the heater should now work.
