serpentine tensioner broke?

Hello I’m trying to change my serpentine belt, but my tensioner is broken so I can’t loosen the belt. what can I do to make this easier?

Which belt are you trying to change? The regular running belt or the timing belt?

I would cut the belt and then replace the tensioner. Here is how in the image below.
