The vehicle has recently started overheating. I noticed that when I turn it off that the radiator fan continues to run for a while. Then just today the vehicle started overheating. The temperature gauge slowly starts rising until it overheats.

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

First, make sure the engine coolant is full. With this new of a vehicle, it's uncommon for other problems, but they do occur. If you find the coolant is low, make certain to use the type of coolant the manufacturer recommends which should be indicated on the over flow lid.

If it is low, you will need to check for leaks.

If coolant is full, there are no leaks, and there isn't excessive white smoke from the exhaust, then I would recommend replacing the thermostat.

The directions specific to your vehicle for thermostat replacement are listed in the attached pictures.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe

The coolant is full and no leaks from what I can see. No white smoke either. I will try the thermostat. Thanks.

Hi Jacob:

Since we know the fans are working, if there are no leaks or smoke from the exhaust, then the thermostat is my first suspect.

Let me know if this helps.
