First, make sure the engine coolant is full. With this new of a vehicle, it's uncommon for other problems, but they do occur. If you find the coolant is low, make certain to use the type of coolant the manufacturer recommends which should be indicated on the over flow lid.

If it is low, you will need to check for leaks.

If coolant is full, there are no leaks, and there isn't excessive white smoke from the exhaust, then I would recommend replacing the thermostat.
