Blend door actuator?

Sometime the heat is stronger coming from driver side vents than passenger. And amount of air coming out doesn’t seem to match. Suspect blend door actuator. Are there two? Where are locations of each? Thanks.

There are two and I think you are correct. Here are both locations. Let us know if you need more info. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

A mechanic has replaced the actuator twice in 2 years because if fails to work in defrost setting. Could it be something else?

Good afternoon,

Most of the time it is about the quality of the part itself. They are made of plastic gears inside and that is why they fail.

What brand did they use for the replacements?

That is the problem. They are cheap actuator. I would get one from the dealer and that one will last as well as it has a warranty.
