Temperature light turns on and car will not start?

Hi,

This model Toyota isn't offered in the US, so I have nothing in my manuals, but I will try my best to help.

As far as the temperature light, is it on at all times? In other words, does it turn on when the engine is cold? Have you inspected the coolant temperature sensor for wiring concerns or connector issues?
