Temperature gauge bar indicator suddenly turns off as well as the A/C supply while driving

The car seems fine during cold start up to when the temperature gauge reached third bar indicator, after couple miles on normal operating temperature, my A/C and temperature gauge display (electronic) will suddenly disappear but the A/C blowers still there. I'm trying to troubleshoot this myself for some time now, but I think you guys would be a great help.

I already replaced brand new thermostat, but honestly, I think the engine cooling system is good. There is no overheating issue whatsoever.

I already tried reset using battery harness/ wires. Already tried Installing grounding kit. Now I'm waiting for my scanner to check if there will be codes. Thanks. By the way, this is Hyundai EON, not i10. No variant available.

Hello,

As you describe your issue it sounds like it might be a possible software issue of the AC module? The display is affected but the unit functions as before.

I would suggest contacting your nearest Hyundai dealer and checking with them if there are any known issues and possible software updates

Thank you for your suggestion.
It is really hard here in ph and so expensive to bring the car to Hyundai dealership. Maybe I will reconsider that after doing reset with a scanner and if the problem still exist.

About the temperature gauge display and AC issue, several Hyundai eon owners are having the same problem but they said they don't know what to do anymore after consulting to different car electricians and mechanics.

Hello,

It seems like it is a common issue with your model vehicle.

It would be advisable to first check the vehicle for any fault codes using a suitable scan tool.

How to carry out a CAN-scan:

If no relevant codes are present, you could try and carry out a battery reset, disconnecting the negative terminal and leaving this disconnected for at least 30 minutes, see if this changes anything.

I have already tried scanning the car, no fault codes, already tried erasing all codes (though there's no error s, that's how desperate I am haha). I will test drive it and see if it works for me, maybe during weekends.

Hi Laren, I have that exact issue based on your description. The temperature gauge and A/C started acting that way after a mechanic replaced the evaporator so he might have missed something in the process.
It's been 3 months since your last post. Did you (hopefully) manage to resolve the problem?

Twice I tried driving with A/C off and the issue didn't appear. If this is really the case, then maybe it's probably a faulty air conditioner that caused the temperature display to turn off? Or is it the other way around? As far as I know the thermostat is just concerned about the coolant, so I don't know how it really interacts with the A/C. If anybody has this issue, please try driving with the A/C off to confirm this.
